BETT Show is fast approaching

Edge10 Corporation Ltd is exhibiting at the BETT Show held from 14-17 January 2009 at Olympia London.  We are on stand A96 in the Grand Hall so come and see us...

At the show we will exhibit our application specific Display Monitors purposely built for the Education Market.  These include our hard glass and our touch screen displays.

In addition to our display monitors we look forward to showcasing our new flash duplicators; USB, CF, SD and multiformat dupes as well as our traditional CD/DVD duplicators some now with Bluray.

Our new range of backup storage devices will also be available to see.  These include our Network Attached and Direct Attached Storage products.

15" Sized TFTs Still Much Needed in Education Market

SchoolCare confirms that 15" TFT size is still much needed for Primary Schools

Based in Christchurc and Yeovil, SchoolCare is pat of a wider enterprise.  SchoolCare itself is a specialist ICT provider predominantly to primary schools across the UK. As well as sourcing the information technology products their customers are looking for, SchoolCare also offers a complete installation service.  Furthermore, SchoolCare has a dedicated team of technicians on hand to help schools with any issues that may arise at anytime, as many schools do not have an in-house technician.

Ceri Morgan, Director of SchoolCare confirms that hard glass displays are definately the way forward particularly when supplying display monitors to schools.  "The hard glass displays are much more durable as the screen cannot be damaged when the children point, poke and press on the screen whilst using the PC.  As well as the hard glas feature, Edge10 T Series displays also have very wide, webbed feet stands which make them much more sturdy and harder to push over.  Ceri Morgan also adds that on the rare occasion SchoolCare has needed to contact Edge10 after-sales service "Edge10's afer-sales service is professional and quick and I have been very happy with the support I have received".

In terms of the supply of hard glass display monitors generally, Ceri's main concern is the huge lack of 15" TFTs available.  "The 15" TFT size is the perfect size for primary school children to use.  17" and certainly 19" size displays are really too big for them.  I am very pleased to see Edge10 hold the T150, 15" hard glass display in it's range."

All Edge10 Toughened Glass LCD monitors have hard glass which is rated at 8H on the Moh's Scale.  As well as the toughened glass feature, the Edge10 T Series Displays have reinforced buttons, and an interlocked bezel.  They have wide, ultra strong stand and are all VESA wall mountable for users who may want the unit off the desk.  Our T Series Range consists of 15", 17", 19" and 19" widescreen.

DSGi Promotes Edge10 Hard Glass Displays

DSGi Education sales team spotted a huge opportunity in the replacement screen market and have now aggressively started promoting Edge10 hard glass displays, after already received many requests for hard glass display monitors.  The demand currently is on 17" hard glass however there are significant opportunities for 19" Hard Glass displays also.  DSGi is pleased to be able to work closely with the UK's leading hard glass vendor and Edge10 committed to their level best to support DSGi and to ensure aclose working relationship.

         

Case Study: The Oldham College Specifies Edge10 Hard Glass LCD Monitors for Major Hard Glass LCD Refresh

In order to satisfy the demands of their students for a larger screen size and also to protect the value of their investment, The Oldham College decided to replace 200 of their legacy display monitors with the application specific hard glass 19" display monitors from Edge10.  The first 100 units were delivered in October 2006 and the second 100 units were delivered in December 2006.  The Edge10 displays were used with their current PCs in many different faculties of the college from their Music Studios to their Art & Design Departments.

Jon Evans, IT Manager at The Oldham College confirmed that the Edge10 T190 displays replaced the legacy CRTs and standard LCDs that had become out of date and out of warranty.

All Edge10 display monitors have the Kensington Lock fitting on the back of the cabinet.  However The Oldham College required a stronger fitting to suit their specific requirements and were delighted that Edge10 could accommodate immediately.  Edge10 sourced the tempered steel plating locally and without delay.  The steel plates were specified to the exact requirements of The Oldham College and the Edge10 T190 displays were installed just a few days later.  The Oldham College was delighted with the speediness and efficiency of the Edge10 Technical Support Team.

"It was essential for us to source hard glass displays as previous LCD monitors had been damaged unintentionally by students and staff poking the screens.  I am very happy with the Edge10 hard glass screens.  They are of a very strong build quality and well-suited for schools and colleges" confirmed Jon Evans.  "The support from Edge10 on designing and installing the Kensington Lock for us has been very quick and professional.  The Oldham College will definately be taking more Edge10 hard glass display monitors this year."
