Edge10 meet latest Environmental Standard - CAESAR

The Green wave is being felt in the IT community. Edge10 and the Monitor Industry is very aware of this with existing compliances with standards such as Energy Star, Power Saving, TCO standards, WEEE Registrations and also ROHS Compliance.

However recently Edge10 has made even more effort to vecome environmentally friendly and ultra green with the advent of our new logo. We have started to demand energy efficiency and environmentally friendly practices by all of our local vendors. IT is very interesting to see how speeedily some of them are able to react.  Just watch this space for an update.....

Edge10 WEEE Directive Policy Statement

Edge10 is committed to respect the WEEE directive. All of our products carry the crossed out wheeled bin logo and we are compliant with the current legislation. We fully back the aims of the directive and are working with our own factories/suppliers to meet the requirements as they come into force. As the regulations state we will be registering with a compliance scheme before the 15^th March.

Green times ahead..

It’s that time of year again everybody’s making New Year resolutions which are usually conveniently forgotten about after the first week. My goal at Edge10 this year is to work closely with our factories to help reduce the amount of unnecessary packaging that is used with our products. Already the average household produces 1.2 tonnes of waste every year and for every tonne produced in our home 5 tonne’s has already been produced in manufacturing! Any help to reduce this figure would benefit the environment.

If anyone gets the chance it would be prudent to view this film. I guarantee that it will make you think more about your actions in the business life. I have directly changed my actions immediately after watching it.

One are where Edge10 has been particularly forward thinking is that of concern for the environment, and it is wonderful to work in a company where the environmental concerns are treated as critically important.
